We'd
all like our children to come with instructions. Because they don't,
we learn as we go. I will meet with you privately, or facilitate your
small group discussion to help you meet the ups and downs of parenting
with confidence, humor, and love.
Possible topics include:
helping your infant sleep through the night
setting loving, consistent limits with your toddler
teaching your child to manage her emotions
communicating with your teen
helping your young adult apply to college
As the
drug education coordinator for an East Bay school district and later as
a school nurse in Southwest Santa Rosa, I taught health education
classes and mentored peer counselors in kindergarten through
twelfth grade. I founded, created and co-facilitated New Moon, a two-week summer day camp for adolescent girls, focused on the development of strong self-esteem and healthy body image. At Summerfield Waldorf High School, I taught sex
education and facilitated girls' discussion groups. I now provide
private consultation, tools, and information to support parents of
toddlers, young children, adolescents, and teens.
